Minnesota Wedding Photographer

If you're looking for a unique Minnesota wedding venue that combines beautiful countryside views with modern amenities, Farmamerica in Waseca, Minnesota deserves a spot on your list. I recently had the opportunity to photograph a wedding here, and it quickly became one of my favorite Southern Minnesota venues for couples who want a charming rural atmosphere without sacrificing convenience.

About Farmamerica

Farmamerica has been serving the community since 1978 and has continued to grow over the years. Their Visitor Center was built in 1999, the Great Hall was remodeled in 2022, and their conference room received a beautiful renovation in 2025, giving couples an updated and versatile space for their wedding celebrations.

Located just outside of Waseca, Farmamerica offers a peaceful setting with scenic farm views and plenty of room for guests to gather and celebrate.

Wedding Spaces & Amenities

One of the things I love about Farmamerica is the flexibility they offer couples. Their conference room can seat up to 250 guests for either a ceremony or reception, making it a wonderful option for both intimate and larger celebrations.

Wedding rentals include:

  • Round, rectangular, and high-top tables
  • Chairs
  • Sound system
  • Commercial kitchen access
  • Ample private parking
  • Free decorating access the day before your wedding

Couples can also add several optional upgrades, including:

  • A projector and stage
  • Linens
  • Access to the chapel
  • Outdoor green space with a beautiful farm backdrop for ceremonies
  • A patio area
  • Private bridal staging suite
  • Coffee machine
  • Two-hour tram rides through their picturesque trails
  • Additional seating
  • Bathroom baskets
  • Next-day cleanup access

One of the biggest advantages is that Farmamerica allows couples to choose any caterer and bartender they prefer, giving you the flexibility to create a wedding day that truly fits your vision and budget.

Wedding Pricing

At the time of writing, Farmamerica's wedding packages begin at:

  • Reception-only rentals starting at $3,000
  • Ceremony and reception packages starting at $4,000

Couples should always contact the venue directly for the most current pricing and availability.

When Should You Book?

Farmamerica recommends booking your wedding venue six months to one year in advance, especially for popular Friday, Saturday, and Sunday wedding dates.

They are also flexible with additional dates if given enough notice, which can be a wonderful option for couples planning unique wedding weekends or off-season celebrations.

Why I Love Photographing Weddings at Farmamerica

As a Minnesota wedding photographer, I always appreciate venues that offer beautiful natural backdrops alongside practical conveniences, and Farmamerica does exactly that.

The outdoor ceremony space provides gorgeous countryside views, while the renovated indoor spaces offer plenty of natural light and comfortable accommodations for guests. The property itself has countless opportunities for portraits, allowing couples to capture both elegant and rustic images throughout their wedding day.

Whether you're planning a traditional wedding, a relaxed countryside celebration, or something uniquely your own, Farmamerica offers the flexibility to bring your vision to life.
